Is it possible to plant a new tree after stump removal?
Much depends on the depth of grinding and the type of tree from which the stump was removed. If the stump’s root system is superficial, then at a depth of more than 8 in there will be no large shoots left that could interfere with planting a new plant. Often, it is enough to move the new planting location about a meter from the center of the old stump so that the remaining thick central part of the root does not interfere with digging a hole of sufficient depth.
Note that soil saturated with sawdust is loose and will retain moisture well while providing air permeability. Initially, the new tree may require more fertilizer than usual.
We recommend not planting the tree immediately, and properly preparing the soil so that the new tree grows strong and healthy.
If the removed tree was infected, take care to protect the seedling.
