Why do you need to remove stumps?

The note “Forest health. Or why get rid of stumps and dead wood?” touched on the question of why stumps need to be removed. Today, an additional observation appeared. The tree in this photo looks different now. The infection is developing quickly and the tree has died. I think it will fall in the spring. It will not withstand the storm winds.
We shot these videos the other day. This is what the tree looks like now. If it had grown next to buildings, the falling branches and trunk could have caused serious damage. And the problem was so easy to prevent! All you had to do was remove the deadwood. Or the stump.
Tree pest infestation.
This sycamore will also die soon. In the summer it delighted with lush foliage. In the fall it produced a lot of fruit. And now, at first glance, it looks cheerful and healthy. But the disease from the pile of infected deadwood nearby has already settled under its bark. Insects will kill this strong tree very quickly. I will, if possible, observe the course of its disease. I will certainly share with you. The topic is not closed. See you again.
